Grilled Peaches with Maple Mascarpone Cream

Grilled Peaches Audrey's Ontario peaches have arrived in store! Yayyy! Peaches are a late summer fruit for us here in Ontario, but  they are really worth waiting for. When fruit is in season and this fresh and juicy, simple recipes are all you need. While I love to eat them raw with juice dripping down my chin, they also make a perfect summer dessert if you grill them on a hot BBQ or grilling pan. Add a dollop of whipped mascarpone cream with a hint of maple and you’re set.

Grilled Peaches with Maple Mascarpone Cream

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Four halves of fruit and enough cream for extras

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of mascarpone
  • 1/2 cup of whipping cream
  • 2 - 3 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • 2 fresh and ripe peaches

Instructions

  1. Whip mascarpone with a hand mixer until smooth. Add whipping cream and mix until you have a smooth whipped cream texture. Add maple syrup and mix until combined. Put into fridge until ready to serve.
  2. Cut peaches in half and remove pit. Brush with a little bit of maple syrup if you wish. On a hot (medium heat) grill or heated grill pan, grill peaches face side down until grill marks appear and fruit is soft, but still holds together well.
  3. Serve warm peaches with a dollop of Maple Mascarpone Cream. Serve immediately.
