Things are busy around here. I think we have too much on our plates right now. Doesn’t it always feel that way towards the end of the school year? In addition to spring soccer, swim and gymnastic classes (why are they overlapping this month?), both kids take dance. This past week has been very busy with additional rehearsals in preparation for the recital tonight and tomorrow. The kids are having a lot of fun despite the busy evenings and I guess that’s the best we can hope for, right? I look forward to things finishing up and going back to evenings playing in the yard or going to the park.
Some specials I want to share with you this week:
- Greek yogurt is becoming very popular in North America, but what to do with all the acid whey? Growing up in Switzerland using the whey seemed obvious – Rivella is almost a national drink – maybe a new business opportunity for the US? article via Aimee – discussion on twitter also with Jennifer.
- Honey Ice Cream (Semifreddo)
- Paper plate berry baskets – a perfect way to gift food.
- Prepare your salads in a jar and bring them with you anywhere! I’ve been meaning to do this.
- I keep being inspired by backyard greenery and seating. We’ll be working a little this summer to improve our very narrow backyard deck/patio area.
- Avocado and Eggs – baked together? Yes, please! via Marta
