Please indulge me this week as I put in my entry to win a flight and accommodation to Blogpodium Toronto! Aya kitchens is hosting a contest and to enter I need to show my ultimate party kitchen, choosing at least one image from their gallery.
Well, look what I found above – the perfect bistro kitchen! A few years back I saw a great kitchen in H&H and the owner described how she had based the design on the kitchen in Ratatouille. I have not forgotten that kitchen and have not forgotten her reference. I adore that movie and I agree with her that the kitchen is sublime. So, what makes this my ideal party kitchen? Mix of dark and light cabinets, open shelving, warm hardware, subway tile, industrial stove, expansive marble island, bistro chairs and show stopper lighting. I would add some caustic tile flooring and I would serve my puff pastry circles – look the tomatoes are sitting on the counter already! Now, if Remy could join me in the kitchen, I think we’d have the perfect set up for an unforgettable party!
